Shilajit is a dark, resinous substance that forms naturally over centuries in high-altitude mountain ranges — most notably the Himalayas, Altai, and Caucasus regions. As layers of plant matter and organic minerals decompose slowly under enormous rock pressure, a thick, mineral-dense resin begins to seep from rock crevices during warmer months. The result is one of the most concentrated natural sources of fulvic acid, humic acid, and over 80 trace minerals known to science.
But not all shilajit is the same. The processing method matters enormously. Heat-dried or chemically treated shilajit loses much of its potency. Sun dried shilajit is gently dried at natural temperatures, preserving the full spectrum of its active compounds exactly as nature intended.
